LikeALocal Offline City Guide App Reviews

My wife and I will be visiting Tallinn, Estonia and Berlin, Germany this summer. I downloaded this app and paid for the upgrades to both cities. The details and suggestions written by people that live in those cities is invaluable. We don’t like doing the standard “tourist” things when we travel, and the suggestions from local people in the app are fantastic. Downloaded maps are available off-line with no need for an internet connection. I will follow up with another review once we have used the app in Europe, but for right now, the app has really helped us in planning our vacation.

Ive purchased brussels map and satisfied after purchased paris map too, but it never download paris package completely and start to crash again and again. Then removed the app install again guess what? My purchases doesnt shown! Now ive paid a service that i cant even use.. Good job!

We used the app in Tartu - its really helpful us to find interesting places like locals (cafes, designer shops and bars), and most popular places to see. Comfortable offline map with gps - you can change your interesting places from others categories or use with all places near you. The price is ok and before paying you can use trial to see places! Very recommend!!!

I bought the Perfect offline Riga guide, places are very good.. The only thing, I would like to see the itinerary on the map, like a true map!

We were travelling and wondering about cool spots in the Baltics to hang out in. The recommendations were very current and well-written and the app is easy to use and well thought out! Highly recommend!

As an American traveling to Riga with only intermittent wifi connection, this app, which can be used offline, was invaluable. The recommendations for dining options off the tourists path were well curated. My only criticisms are: 1) the restaurant choices did not include average prices; and 2) you could not restrict by neighborhood through the dining portal. More robust filters on dining and activities would be helpful for the offline consumer.

This App lived up to my expectations and then some! I was only in Helsinki, Finland for a short time and this app came through to help me make the best of it! Thank you!

Great app to find cool places to eat at that have local food, which is hard sometimes. Also has a lot of cities in Eastern Europe which is great!

I paid for the Lisbon map and am unable to use it at all. It wont download and the app keeps crashing. I was hopeful about this app... please fix it!

Seems like a cool concept but not enough cities (dont even have big cities like Zurich or Venice) and app quit everytime I tried to access the actual city guide I downloaded. Luckily I didnt buy it, was just using the free trial. Needs work hopefully will eventually be useful.

The spots and app are great, but without seeing them on a map you cant tell how close they are to you

App worked great in demo mode - as soon as I bought a city guide it no longer worked. Reloaded app and lost my guide - dont waste your money until they fix the bugs

You have to pay for guides for each city. Not free at all and a waste of time.

The maps never worked even after I payed for the app, the tips are outdated and some of the places I went were closed. Some of the tips are good, some of them are really bad... So not a great app, I really wish I could say something different as its always great to have local tips.

Im sure this is awesome for bigger cities around the world, but it seems odd that cities like Austin, Texas and Las Vegas, Nevada arent included... Im sure itll happen, eventfully. It just doesnt help me much now/today.
